Welcome to the Wagnalls Memorial Library

Guests who visit the Wagnalls Memorial for the first time are enthralled by its Tudor-Gothic style that’s reminiscent of the Medieval Revival period. The vaulted ceilings, rich oak woodwork, native-freestone, hanging metal chandeliers, steep pitched roof, window casements, carved wood sculptures, and other architectural characteristics make the turn-of-the-century library a truly unique destination. A vital community resource, the library provides people living in the Columbus area and visitors with a center for educational, cultural, and literary arts activities. We invite you to tour our beautiful library, manicured gardens, and historic theater and to consider supporting the Wagnalls Memorial Foundation so we may continue to preserve and operate this historic community treasure.

Art at the Wagnalls

The Wagnalls Memorial invites artists & artisans to apply for the 2019 Art Festival at The Wagnalls held August 10, 2019 at The Wagnalls Memorial in Lithopolis, Ohio. $600 First Place, $250 Second Place, $150 Third Place. Ceramics, drawing, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, mixed media 2D, mixed media 3D, painting, photography, sculpture, metal, wood, and more are welcome. $100 vendor application fee.  Deadline: June 28, 2019.  For more info, contact Alexis via email at socialmedia@linearcreative.com or call 216-741-1533.

Second Annual Gatsby at the Wagnalls!

The Wagnalls Memorial invites you to the second annual Gatsby at Wagnalls on October 12, 2019 at The Wagnalls Memorial in Lithopolis, Ohio. Come experience the magical spirit of the Roaring Twenties at a glamorous evening wearing your finest attire or Gatsby-themed couture. The event will benefit Wagnalls Memorial Foundation. There will be a fabulous silent auction featuring unique items and gift packages.
