Welcome to the Wagnalls Memorial Library

Guests who visit the Wagnalls Memorial for the first time are enthralled by its Tudor-Gothic style that’s reminiscent of the Medieval Revival period. The vaulted ceilings, rich oak woodwork, native-freestone, hanging metal chandeliers, steep pitched roof, window casements, carved wood sculptures, and other architectural characteristics make the turn-of-the-century library a truly unique destination. A vital community resource, the library provides people living in the Columbus area and visitors with a center for educational, cultural, and literary arts activities. We invite you to tour our beautiful library, manicured gardens, and historic theater and to consider supporting the Wagnalls Memorial Foundation so we may continue to preserve and operate this historic community treasure.
